Final Outcome - explaining the content of my video - what are the messages/ideas am i trying to convey to the viewer?

The portrayal of the clock and the monk works as the alarm for the viewer not to live their life with such carelessness/neglect. The sound of the monk chanting that is played through out the clip is taken from 5 precepts which is the major guide of commitment within buddhism that i’ve always been practiced. They are basically 5 human commitments to abstain from harming living beings, stealing, sexual misconduct, lying and intoxication. For thai buddhists, these 5 precepts are deeply embedded within our minds through the process of internalisation e.g. school, family teachings, association with other thais in the society. Despite this fact, there exists an irony between how we actually live our lives and all aspects of buddhist teaching that we have been taught - as in reality the behaviour which claimed to be sinful and self-destructive in buddhism are what people are obsessed with most e.g. people smoke whenever they feel stress instead of controlling their mind in order to gain meditative consciousness. It is difficult to avoid these destructive behaviour when living in the modern society as we are loaded with work, stress and duties as well as having bad habits and influenced by modern technologies. All aforementioned conditions really push us to forget about the destruction that these behaviours could lead us to. So we keep doing it throughout our lives without realising that we are putting ourselves quicker to the end of our lifespan.

In the video, the emotion of anger and frustration that I express reflects the real situations that I guess people are facing with nowadays. I believe we are all being trapped in our own feelings (both positive and negative), and so it becomes an obsession that we find difficult to get over at a certain stage of our lives. All these elements of my own behaviours and thoughts that I’ve shown are the ongoing process that keep continued repeatedly, as well as the ticking of the clock that flashes up in my video, warning that the time keeps passing by and the age of our lifespan keeps running out. I want to demonstrate the conflict between the time and our sinful ways of living that happen in parallel with one another, but then the time never awaits us.

The mood/tone of my video:

i think this video really reflects the dark side of people lives. i can feel the anger, the frustration, and the discontentment that is going on in the video. The figure in the video is very expressive, which when combine with the sound effects, this video renders even more powerful message to the viewer - as i can see from my stressful facial expressions. I felt the mood of the video is very intense and stressful, making me feel anxious and aware of the limit of our lifetime - time never waits us as we have less and less time
